A Peg

Ever been a square peg in a round hole? I have been. More precisely, I am an octagon trying to fit in a round hole. Almost the right shape, with a little fussing can get wedged into the empty space. Yet, never be exactly the right fit. If I was nice enough, fun enough, behaved enough, I’d fit in well enough. This precarious fit often filled me uncertainty about when getting found out, kicked out and replaced by an actual round peg.

Alone in the woods or with animals I find perfection. There are no shapes to fit in to. I am what I am and that is enough. No trying, just being. Now is the time to fully practice that while with other humans. It is a beautiful world from there.
